Cara Zimmermann is a classically trained Interior Designer, securing her Masters in Interior Design from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC. Following her formal education, she trained under various high-end residential designers from Architectural Digest’s renowned AD100 list as well as Elle Decor’s distinguished Titans category. Cara is a National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certified interior designer. 

Although Cara's design studio is located in Old Lyme, Connecticut, her projects have spanned the eastern coast from Nantucket, MA, to Washington, DC. She credits her New England roots for her timeless style that transcends trends and patinas with age. She believes that homes evolve and are meant to be lived in, where no rooms are off limits, nothing is too precious, and nicks give the house a soul. Her experience in the fine art world informs her sophisticated color sense and fearless ability to mix the old with the new. Nothing brings Cara more joy than teaming with clients to hone their vision and create unique backdrops for building memories with their loved ones.
